walk.jpgHello and welcome back to Your 2-minute English Break that today is dedicated to idioms.

Do you know what an idiom is?

An idiom is a way of saying such as:

1)   AT THE TOP OF MY VOICE  very loudly

Example: I can’t hear you. Please speak at the top of your voice!!

2)   AND ALL THAT JAZZ  everything related to /similar (IT: “e cose di questo tipo”)

Example: They sell televisions and radios and all that jazz

3)   TO MARCH TO THE BEAT OF YOUR OWN DRUM If people march to the beat of their own drum, they do things the way they want without taking other people into consideration.

Example:

The above idioms and more were presented to our students at the Summer Camp.

Every summer, we organize English Camps for kids aged 6 to 12. These are full-immersion weeks where students can practice the language and have a lot of fun.
